The full published range is $40–85 CAD/page depending on volume and language: $40 CAD is the 11+ pages volume rate and $85 CAD is the rare-language rate. Notarization, rush delivery and hard copies are priced separately below.

How much does certified translation cost in Canada?

The price is per page and depends on two things: the language tier and the number of pages in the order. Common languages are billed on three volume tiers; rare languages are one flat rate. The table is the complete published rate card — there is no lower rate than $40 CAD and no higher standard rate than $85 CAD per page.

What determines the price of a certified translation?

Five factors, in order of effect: the language tier, the page count, the turnaround, whether notarization is required, and the layout. The first four are fixed by the tables above. Layout is the only factor quoted case by case — a page of dense tables, stamps and seals that must be recreated takes longer than a page of running text.

What would a typical document cost?

A one-page birth certificate in a common language is $55 CAD at standard turnaround, $115 CAD notarized, and $66 CAD with rush delivery. The examples below are computed from the rate table with the same arithmetic used for quotes: pages × tier rate, plus the turnaround surcharge, plus any add-ons.

What does the per-page price include?

The per-page rate includes the translation, the signed certification and the formatted PDF. Nothing on the list below is an extra.

  • Official Certification — Signed translator statement with credentials and seal
  • Professional Formatting — Original layout preserved, including tables and official seals
  • IRCC/WES/ECA Compliance — Accepted by immigration agencies, universities, and government bodies
  • Secure PDF Delivery — High-quality digital copy delivered by email, ready to submit
  • Free Minor Revisions — Corrections for any typos or formatting issues at no charge
  • Confidential Handling — Secure file management with strict data protection protocols

How is non-certified translation priced?

General (non-certified) translation is charged per word, at $0.21 CAD per word. Minimum charge applies for documents under 400 words. Includes minor formatting. It carries no certification statement, so it is not accepted where a certified translation is required.

Pricing listed above is a general guideline based on current market trends. Actual rates may be lower or higher depending on the document type, language pair, formatting requirements, and project complexity. All final pricing is confirmed after reviewing the document(s) and project details.
